Address
Kubuqi Desert, Inner Mongolia, China
The 2GW Kubuqi Base PV project is a milestone initiative—it is not only one of China's first large-scale wind and solar bases but also the country's largest photovoltaic desertification control project. As a key enabler, AlphaESS supplied 1500V air-cooled energy storage container systems totaling 80MW/160MWh and 40MW/80MWh for three step-up substations.
The project is designed to deliver both ecological and economic value, harnessing solar power to restore the desert. It is set to propel the Kubuqi Desert's new energy-driven restoration and accelerate green, low-carbon development in the region.
