AlphaESS deployed a 12.5MW/12.5MWh integrated energy storage solution at the Zhaoqing Gas-Fired Power Plant in Guangdong Province. This innovative system provides critical "Black Start" capability, enabling the plant to self-recover from a complete grid outage.
The solution comprises five 2.5MW/2.5MWh battery containers and five power conversion system (PCS) containers. Beyond ensuring emergency recovery, it delivers daily grid services including frequency regulation and peak shaving—boosting plant efficiency, reducing operational costs, and strengthening regional energy security.
