China Three Gorges Corporation's Ulanqab project is China's first renewable power station with gigawatt-hour (GWh) scale storage. For this landmark initiative, AlphaESS provided 1500V air-cooled energy storage systems totaling 140MW/280MWh and 80MW/160MWh.
These systems work in synergy with large-scale solar and wind generation, enabling intelligent storage and dispatch of renewable energy. This capability significantly enhances grid flexibility, stability, and regulation, marking an important milestone in building a more resilient and low-carbon power network.
